2021 Coaches Game Fundraiser

Hello STLL Parents, Coaches and Managers,

As some of you may know, in 2018 we started a new fundraiser to close out the season and use it as an excuse for the adults to have a little fun and build greater camaraderie.  Although The STLL Coach’s  Game was skipped (along with everything else last year) I’m thrilled to announce that we have been cleared to resume this awesome event for its’ 3rd year!

What is this game?

This will be a 9 inning game (time limit if necessary) played on the 90' field for all the coaches to have fun, be competitive, and show the skills they've been teaching all year and hopefully still have ;-).  Please recognize that this is a real baseball game (not softball or slow pitch).

Who can play?

Any adult that wants to help STLL is allowed to play.  The term "coach" is used loosely, but if Buster Posey shows up, there will be some questions asked.  Our goal is to field 2 teams of 12.  The registration will ask some questions about experience so we can try and split the teams as fairly as possible.

Details:

- The game will be held at 10:00am on Sunday June 6th on the Oak Grove Varsity Baseball Field

  • Arrive between 8:00 & 8:30 for warm-up
  • 8:30 -9:30 Warm-up & Batting Practice ($5 for a round of swings to benefit the Oak Grove Baseball Program)
  • 9:30 Team Warm-ups
- Registration: There are two register fee options
  • $50.00 registration fee provides a shirt showing that you supported the event
  • $150.00 for a little more you will receive a custom Santa Teresa Little League engraved maple bat (made by JBATS) you can use in the game.
  • Registration for this event will close at 11:59pm Sunday May 16th.
  • Please get yourself or a loved one signed up soon so we can make teams and get the items ordered for game day.

The custom bat would also make a sweet end of season gift for your coach even if they don’t play, especially if all the players sign it, just in case you are looking for ideas.

If any kids want to be involved with announcing their parents as they come to bat, umpiring (we need 4) or bat boy/girl, please email [email protected] and we will work to get them involved as much as possible as well.

Even if you can’t play, please stop by and check out the action and cheer on your fellow coaches or parents - there are some active streaks on the line (Will Hendricks consecutive games hit-by-pitch for example) and of course the over/under how many coaches fall down at some point.

I look forward to seeing you all on the field,

Patrick Hawk
