Volunteer Organization
Santa Teresa Little League is a non-profit community organization that relies exclusively on unpaid volunteers to accomplish its mission of helping kids build character through the game of baseball. As such, parents are expected to contribute time and talent throughout the season to help the kids and ST community have a great baseball experience.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. We believe that it takes a community to put on a baseball season. Families who join the league are expected to volunteer to support Game Day Activities & League-wide events & Activities. For the Spring Season, each family must complete 11 Volunteer Points as part of our Volunteer Requirement. We also rely on volunteers to take on Team Roles, such as Manager & Team Parent. For those truly passionate about serving the baseball community, please consider a League Wide Role (Board Member & Coordinator positions). Please click on the links below to learn more about volunteering.

Game Day Roles: Families are Required to participate to support Team Responsibilities such as Field Set-up, Snack Shack & Umpire Assignments.

Team Roles: Manager, Assistant Coach, and Team Parent: These volunteers guide players through games & practices & keep the team running smoothly.

League-Wide Roles: See Descriptions of Board Member & Coordinator Roles. Watch a video about volunteering featuring some of our Board Members.

Volunteer Background Checks: All volunteers (that means at least one parent/guardian from each STLL Family) must complete a background check annually. Additionally, any volunteer who will be in direct contact with youth participants for 16+ hours a month or 32+ hours in a year must complete a one-time Fingerprint-based background check.

IMPORTANT: Selecting Volunteering Points Program or Volunteering Buyout Option
We have heard that there is some confusion around the registration process when choosing to accept the Volunteer Requirement or Buy-out the Volunteer Requirement.

In the registration process, after selecting the program(s) for your player and answering the questions about your player, you will be taken to the Volunteer Opportunities Page (you will see this once for each program you are registering for).

If you are choosing to accept the Volunteer Requirement choose the appropriate Volunteer Role ( a Team-Based Role - Manager, Assistant Coach, or Team Parent) or Select the Volunteer Requirement Program Participation, you will need to complete the questions required to process the annual Volunteer Background check.

If you are choosing to Buy-out the Volunteer Requirement, do not select a Volunteer Role, instead press the Skip Button at the bottom right-hand side of the page.. We will confirm your Volunteering Option by Town Hall. If you choose the Buy Out Option, payment will be due by Opening Day.

Registration fees do not cover the entire cost for a player to participate in Little League Baseball & Softball. Our Snack Shack, Sponsors and Fundraising helps to keep the cost of registration down.
